Our Heritage

A Century of Scouting

Troop 51 has called Provo home since 1916, making us one of the oldest continuously chartered Scout troops in Utah. For more than a century, the boys of Troop 51 have hiked the Wasatch, served their neighbors, and grown into leaders under the sign of the Thunderbird.

Today around thirty Scouts carry that legacy forward. We meet every week at the Provo Elks Lodge, who have generously hosted the troop for generations, and our calendar runs from summer camp in the mountains to service projects across the city.

Whether a Scout is tying his first knot or earning his Eagle, Troop 51 is a place where character, citizenship, and a love of the outdoors are built one campfire at a time.
